Contemporary Lens  

Contemporary is SIGMA’s high-performance line, incorporating the latest technology to deliver next level quality. This lens can shoot from a distance or up close thanks to the push/pull mechanism. The zoom ring features a pull/pull tool in addition to the regular twist mechanism so you have quick control of the angle of view. The lens hood also accommodates the push/pull mechanism to aid easy manoeuvrability.  

Benefit from a 9-blade rounded diaphragm as the SIGMA 100-400mm lens softens out-of-focus areas to give a stunning bokeh effect.

Optical Stabiliser unit with exclusive algorithm  

The SIGMA 100-400mm lens features a newly developed gyroscopic sensor and exclusive algorithm to provide a powerful optical stabiliser. An acceleration sensor detects camera shake whether it is horizontal, vertical or diagonal to ensure it can stabilise the image in the most effective way.  

Designed to deliver outstanding optics 

Incorporating the latest technology, the 100-400mm lens features three types of exclusive low-dispersion glass elements to reduce optical aberrations: ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion), SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and FLD (“F” Low Dispersion). By combining high-refractivity convex lens elements and a low-refractivity concave element gives SIGMA lenses a flawless result without chromatic aberration. 

As well as SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating to further help combat flare and ghosting and ensure outstanding, high contrast images even in backlit situations. 

Nikon Electronic Diaphragm Mechanism 

The Electronic Diaphragm Mechanism allows the lens to receive signals from the camera body to ensure precision diaphragm control and stable Auto Exposure (AE) performance during continuous shooting.  

Durability 

The SIGMA 100-400mm lens has a brass bayonet mount making it durable in varying conditions. It also incorporates rubber sealing to further protect the mount from dust and water drops.
